I know it refers to experiments, but the quasi totality of particles in the universe are in a state of collapse, not because they’re being observed, but because they are busy interacting with other stuff to literally constitute reality. There is one hitch in this paradox for me. It may be due to my own lack of understanding, but I'll try to lay it out here. Perhaps someone more knowledgeable can steer me in the right direction. Is it necessarily the case that Hawking radiation is random? What does it mean to "merge" with the singularity? Is Sag A* a Schwarzschild or Kerr black hole? The answers to those questions, in my mind, make all the difference. In a Kerr black hole, it may not be the case that all roads terminate at the (ring-like) singularity. If Hawking radiation is random, how could Bob possibly identify THE experimental qubit? And if it's not random, why wouldn't Alice agree that it (and she) had been emitted? Thanks in advance for any insights that I missed!

Do we have enough info to know what volume supernovas have exploded in the Milky Way in say the last 5 billions years and see how many "sol" like stars with planets are likely out of the range of these on average (since they are all moving around). If few to none then life in our galaxy is likely none to very few.

every time someone tries to explain general relativity and quantum mechanics together it just sounds like they don't really know what they are talking about, and that is the more honest answer here: we do not know. we have some math theories that work in some normal situations to a good approximation, but we absolutely do not know these extreme cases, and that is the case despite genius level physicists trying to find a reasonable overarching narrative. it is important for a scientist to be clear when one doesn't know the answer, and not make laypeople think we actually know. these videos should be framed as exploring what our current theories predict and how they get into trouble with each other and with observations. for whatever it is, we have zero data points from what goes on inside a blackhole and everything that various mathematical theories were have predict are neither affirmable nor refutable for the time being with our current understanding and tools. they are more like stories from ancient tones where people made up to deal with what they didn't know and understand.

Would it be frightning if there was a galatic empire scoping earth to give an elite race the ok to boot us out, we wouldn't be able to retaliate or stand our ground and give any reasoning for use to keep earth since our leaders aren't really transparent about if theres other intelligent life out there.
